Here’s a video I made that shows my day of the photoshoot for Bunker Hill Magazine.
So many good images were captured, wish they would’ve used different ones.

Most learning happens casually, and even most intentional learning is not the result of programmed instruction. Normal children learn their first language casually, although faster if their parents pay attention to them. Most people who learn a second language well do so as a result of odd circumstances and not of sequential teaching.

Chapter 1 - Deschooling Society by Ivan Illich
Been meaning to buy this book for a while, but Jake Roufa just IM’d me a link to a free copy of it online!
I haven’t eaten meat in 4 days. Are there any potential deficiencies I could be subjected to if I continue this for a long period of time?
That doesn’t mean that he’s been idle. “I have this thing for myself. It’s called standards.” To that end he maintains a rigorous routine Monday through Friday of things that need to be accomplished. “I have to meet certain criteria.” These criteria involve continuing to make music (he plays piano, guitar, and drums), and mandated ad sales that he demands of himself.

Bunker Hill Magazine profile on myself
Shout out to Jake Lodwick - the pioneer of the Standards system.
Here’s the 1600-word profile that a local magazine did about me and Date Unknown.
My only corrections are:
1. I didn’t live in the “ghetto” when I was in Jamaica - it was actually one of the most affluent areas on the island.
2. I didn’t have on sneakers - I don’t wear sneakers anymore.
3. I don’t recall saying “I have a great mind”.
Today I will attempt to become a pescetarian for 1 month. I originally was going to write “1 year”, but I changed it once I remembered that big projects must start small and occur gradually.
I will document my meals each day (via photography).
My rationale for doing this is two-fold:
1) I got a bad case of gastritis last month and have been forced to change my diet. I’ve tried to eat the same way, but with a balance, and it still doesn’t work. So, I’ve decided to make a major elimination.
2) I’ve wanted to do a photo project like this for a while. And I think the only way I’ll be able to maintain the discipline with my diet is by documenting it every day.
When You Fall Down by Terry Richardson
Wow.
I didn’t think I would be ‘touched’ by this, but I was. Really puts life into perspective.
Wow.
